Saying I was not happy is an understatement!!Ībout 10 minutes after I hung up with Invisible Fence, I called Hidden Fence. I was also informed that their fees had gone up AGAIN and it was going to be $210 just for them to come out and more for the length of the repair and materials. 3 hours later someone called me back and I was told it was going to be 11 days before they could get out to repair my fence because they were so busy. I waited until they reopened on Tuesday and called for an appointment. My final straw with Invisible Fence was when I accidentally cut the line just before Memorial Day weekend, but after business hours. I have had continual issues with their battery back up system (which is totally an unnecessary item!!) and had to replace it a couple times. I am embarrassed to say that I stuck with them way longer than I should have! In recent years, I have felt like I was always getting hit up for an up-sale on things.

Invisible Fence put in my underground fence in 2011. Please hang in there with me while I give you some history on my situation: You won't be able to do any better for your dogs. This was another example of the great customer service we received and why I am writing such a lengthy review! Again, I would recommend Mike to anyone. Mike definitely cares about the dogs and their success. Not once have they crossed the fence after 3 weeks from installation! We weren't perfect, but we certainly tried and our dogs learned much faster than I anticipated. We all understood what was needed for follow on training and were committed to following his instructions to the letter for the best chance of success for our dogs. The information he provided for follow on training was detailed and he went over everything with the whole family. Mike followed up a couple days after training, again a few days after that, and then a week later just to check in and to make sure the dogs were getting it. In my opinion, this was a very pet friendly solution. They quickly associate the flags with the boundary and respond to the "beep" before any shocking occurs. The dogs were slightly uncomfortable but did not appear to be in any pain.

We were concerned with the dogs being in pain however, very little "shock" training occurred and it was on a low setting. We followed Mike's instructions for follow on training for the next few days and our dogs had it down pat. Our guys learned quickly with Mike's guidance. Mike has a passion and talent for working with with dogs. Before I knew it they were done and ready for our two dogs and round one of training. They showed up on time, reviewed system layout options, and then went to work. Mike Schultz with Hidden Fence was amazing to work with and we recommend them any chance we have. Mike did a great job for us and I would highly recommend him for anyone considering installing a pet containment system. We just plug it in to the charging cradle and were done. We love that we don't have to buy special batteries for the collar. He timed the training progression according to our dog's comfort level. He constantly monitored our boy's behavior to ensure he was never stressed. Mike took his time to ensure our pup was not frightened during the training. The training was very simple and my dog totally enjoyed the experience.

Once the install was completed you almost couldn't tell the work had been done. The installation happened when Mike said it would, no delays. No gimmicky discounts that other companies offered. His pricing was straight forward and all inclusive. Whenever I reached out to him I was either able to speak with him directly or I quickly received a return call or text. He was very responsive before, during and after the install.
